The Latvian Lawyers Association (LJA) is a professional organisation uniting lawyers, legal scholars and practitioners with the aim of strengthening the rule of law, democracy and high‑quality legal practice in Latvia.
Our mission
To promote the development of a democratic and lawful state through professional legal tools, high‑quality legal analysis and public education.
Our areas of work
- promoting professional cooperation among lawyers;
- analysing legislation and preparing proposals;
- informing the public on legal matters;
- organising seminars, discussions and conferences;
- cooperating with state institutions and NGOs.
